A police officer was attacked in Hampton Hill this afternoon while trying to help a member of the public.
Officers were called at about 4pm on Monday after paramedics from the London Ambulance Service requested assistance in dealing with a man they were treating in Hampton Road, Hampton Hill.
A Met spokesman said:" We attended but the man assaulted one of the police officers.
"He was arrested on suspicion of assault on police. The officer was not seriously injured."
The spokesman added that enquiries are now ongoing.
