Southeastern Rail will be holding a 'Meet the Manager' session for passengers who are concerned about the Bexleyheath Line closures that are taking place during half-term next month.
Between February 15 and Feruary 23, major work will be carried out in order to prevent disruption to services that are caused by landslips.
A social media post from Southeastern Rail said: "There'll be no trains on the Bexleyheath Line for nine days in February
You can find out more at Southeastern’s Meet The Manager session at Blackheath today, running between 07:30am and 09:30am.
There's also a session at Slade Green on Thursday, running between 08:00am and 10:30am."
According to Network Rail - four landslips have happened over a ten-year period, with the most recent landslip blocking the line for seven days.
This has prompted Network Rail to invest around £6.6 million in order to create a safe and permanent solution.
Network Rail are planning to reduce the steepness of cutting slops by removing around 2,500 tonnes of mud and trees.
Retaining walls will be built on both sides of the cutting slope and will stretch for 650 metres with 8,000 new tonnes of concrete and gravel.
Each retaining wall will be made of steel beams that will vibrate and be driven into the ground and secured with huge concrete blocks that will prevent future landslips from reaching the tracks.
Over the nine days both Southeastern and Network rail will close between Kidbrooke station and Barnehurst station only, where buses will replace trains.
The Woolwich and Sidcup lines and the Charlton to Blackheath link will remain open and additional services will be operating and there will be longer trains where possible.
Rail replacement bus services and tickets will be accepted on all other reasonable routes.
