A mother and her two children said they were left "terrified" after an attack carried at their shared accommodation in Erith.
Maria Gatty said she was attacked by another resident with a bottle whilst she was entering the Avenue Road accommodation on Sunday (January 5).
She told News Shopper: “I am scared to go back there, we haven’t slept, I look terrible, my children are scared.
“I am terrified for my life; I have to wee in a bucket, I can't leave my room, I can’t cook in the kitchen.”
Two days before the horrifying incident, a man had reportedly attempted to break into their room.
Maria contacted News Shopper on Monday and said she had approached the council for help but had not been moved out at the time.
A spokesperson for the Bexley Council responded the same day: “We understand that there was an incident at the accommodation over the weekend involving another tenant who was unwell and seeking help.
“The police were called, and no arrests or charges were made.
“The other tenant involved has since been admitted to hospital and will not be returning to the accommodation.
“We understand that this was upsetting for Ms Gatty and she has been moved from this accommodation today."
