A fire at a Bromley care home last week is being investigated by police.
Half the first floor and part of the loft of the residence on Oldstead Road, in the Downham area, were damaged by the blaze on December 28.
Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to the incident at 3.20pm, bringing it under control by 4.35pm, with fire crews from Bromley, Beckenham, Lewisham, Forest Hill and Lee Green attending.
An investigation last year found 71 care homes in Bromley failed to meet regulations set by the London Fire Brigade, the most of any London borough.
The data was revealed following check ups by the council in response to the Grenfell Tower Tragedy, which claimed the lives of 72 people in 2017.
A Bromley Council spokesman said: “The London Fire Brigade sets standards around fire safety requirements for these private businesses and ensures any shortfalls are addressed by the management.
“In addition, the council carries out its own additional checks and regularly requests that the London Fire Brigade attends local care home forums to raise awareness of their standards.”
