Bexley now has over 300 residents who volunteer as litter pickers in their communities.
The groups of Bexley residents pick up litter in their spear time in a bid to reduce the amount of litter across Bexley.
The Council invests over £4,000,000 a year in keeping Bexley clean and tidy.
Councillor Peter Craske insists that Bexley’s residents are at the heart of keeping streets clean.
Peter Craske, said, “Bexley residents take huge pride in the communities in which we live, and the work undertaken by our brilliant Community Litter Pickers makes a huge difference in improving our Borough.”
The council provide all equipment for litter pickers such as, litter picking sticks, Hi-vis jackets, t-shirts and bags to put the litter in.
