Two men were charged with drug and firearm offences after police raided a property in Barnehurst this week.
On Wednesday (December 11), Met Police officers conducted a warrant on an address in Barnehurst and uncovered a large amount of various illicit drugs, cash and an unspecified “firearm”.
A spokesperson for the Barnehurst Met Police force issued the following statement online:
“We executed a search warrant in Barnehurst and found a substantial amount of Class A and Class B drugs.
“We also found a firearm and a large amount of cash.
“Two males were arrested for possession with intent to supply drugs and possession of a firearm.”

In a later update posted yesterday (December 13), the area Met Police force added that the two suspects had since been charged and held on remand ahead of a court appearance.
Barnehurst MPs said:
“Two males have been charged for possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs.
“One of the males has also been charged for possession of a firearm.
“Both males have been remanded to attend court.”
The Met Police and Barnehurst MPS were contacted for further comment by News Shopper.
