It has been a very good year for the Shropshire Bums on Tums (BOTs) stoma support group.
From a demonstration of owls by Close Encounters, a talk on genealogy by Sara Cox, a wonderful afternoon tea at The Orangery at Derwen College to their most successful Open Day yet.
The Open Day attracted well over 100 visitors with some coming from as far afield as Aberystwyth.
Irene Constable from BOTs said: "We were able to distribute £900 to various stoma related charities from the proceeds of this and we are already planning the 2020 one.
"The year culminated in our annual Christmas Lunch which was attended by 33 members, was at The Orangery Restaurant. Our guests this year were the Mayor and Mayoress of Oswestry, Cllrs John Price and Joyce Barrow. Lunch was followed by a fun quiz on Christmas carols and Christmas pantomimes and was enjoyed by all.
"It probably does not need saying but the food was delicious and plentiful."
