A man was taken to hospital last night following a Woolwich house fire.
Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters tackled a house fire on Crescent Road.
Part of the first floor and half of the roof was alight was damaged by fire.
A man left the home before the LFB arrived. He was suffering from smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.
The fire brigade was called at 6.33pm and the fire was under control by 8.28pm.
Fire crews from Plumstead and surrounding fire stations were at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
