Two men are in hospital with stab injuries after a large fight broke out on Eltham High Street last evening.

Police were called to the high street at around 5:15pm on Tuesday, November 26 to reports of a group of males fighting.

Witnesses in the nearby Lidl reported hearing screaming from the high street, and were then told by people running into the store that someone had been stabbed.

One shopper said: "Two minutes later a lady ran in shaking and crying saying that someone had a huge knife in the streets."

By the time officers and emergency services attended, all suspects and victims had fled.

But shortly after, two men presented themselves at a south London hospital with stab injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
