A man in his twenties died after being hit by a train in the Woolwich Arsenal area on Friday night (November 22).
British Transport Police officers were called to the railway close to Woolwich at around 9.30pm on Friday to reports of a casualty on the tracks.
There were major delays on trains for the rest of the night as all lines were blocked whilst police carried out an investigation into the incident.
It has now been confirmed that a man in his twenties was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is not currently being treated as suspicious.
His family have been informed, and a file will now be prepared for the coroner.
