Get ready to pull on your skates and take to the ice as a brand new ice skating rink is coming to Greenwich this Christmas.
Opening at the end of this month in front of Queen’s House, London’s newest ice skating destination was revealed on Twitter by Royal Museums Greenwich (RMG).
The only outdoor ice rink in south London, Queen’s House Ice Rink will open daily between November 29 to January 12, costing up to £16 for an adult and £8 for under 16s during peak times.
RMG are inviting people to come and enjoy the “striking views of the River Thames and Greenwich Royal Park as you weave (or wobble) your way around the rink.”
Just minutes from London Bridge, Queen’s House is within a UNESCO World Heritage Site and should provide a stunning backdrop to the ice rink, with festive food and drink also available nearby.
The ice rink will open from 10am to 8pm over the Christmas period, every day except from Christmas day, with skate times starting on the hour.
