A 15-year-old girl was arrested last night after a gang of youths roamed Greenwich Shopping Park and reportedly attempted to ransack a shop.
Police were called to the shopping park at around 6pm on November 4 after numerous residents complained of a large group of young people causing disruption and trying to rob shops in Charlton.
The Met Police said a number of young people tried to enter one store in an "apparent attempt to steal property."
The shop managed to close its security grills before the group made it inside, and no property was stolen.
A 15-year-old girl was arrested near the scene, and officers are working closely with the affected store and reviewing CCTV footage to try and identify other suspects.
The local neighbourhood’s team will also be attending the shop to provide the staff with guidance and support.
Any witnesses or anyone with any information is asked to call police on 101 or contact via Twitter @MetCC.
