A man was stabbed on Churchfields Road in Beckenham on Friday night (November 1), prompting a police investigation.

London Ambulance Service (LAS) who were first to the seen treated a man "believed to be in his 20s" for stab wounds before rushing him to hospital.

The Met Police, who also attended, told News Shopper on Sunday (November 3) that the victim's condition was "stable" as they appealed for information.

"Police were alerted by the London Ambulance Service at around 20:00hrs on Friday, 1 November after a man was found suffering from a stab injury on Churchfields Road in Beckenham.

"The man, believed to be aged in his early 20s, was taken to hospital for treatment.

"He remains in a stable condition; his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening," a spokesperson for the Met Police said.

They also confirmed that a police presence remains on Churchfields Road at the scene of the stabbing as police investigations into the violent incident continue.

"Officers remain in the Churchfields Road area.

"There have been no arrests and enquiries continue," the Met Police spokesperson said on Sunday.
