One man and his dog have been walking the British coastline since 2016 picking up litter and is now heading to Woolwich.
Wayne Dixon, and his dog Koda, have been picking litter and raising money for MIND and the Northern Inuit charities.
In the last few days Wayne has been in the area cleaning up the Thames path and is heading to Woolwich, then Greenwich and on to central London.
Travelling on foot, in all weathers, Wayne camps at night and manages with just what he can carry.
Wayne said: "I am creating awareness of the litter problem on land and sea, encouraging people to be mindful of their environmental and social issues affecting local communities.
"We believe that our communities will benefit greatly if we pull together to create a clean and safe environment from the ground upwards."
This weekend he was joined by volunteers from The Waste Less Market and Hayes Litter Pickers.
They met at The Morgan Carvery, who had very kindly donated Wayne and Koda a carvery meal and doggy bag to take away, and then picked litter along the Thames path, despite the rain, beyond the Cory energy plant.
Wayne continued his journey on towards Woolwich on foot.
