A day of action will be held on Friday (October 11) aimed at halting plans to cut hours and close some ticket offices on London Overground.

The Rail, Maritime and Transport union say many ticket offices would only open between 7.30am and 10am on weekdays if the plans go ahead.

This could effect New Cross Gate, Brockley, Honor Oak Park, Forest Hill, Sydenham, Penge, Anerley, Norwood Junction and West Croydon if the plans go ahead.

RMT general secretary Mick Cash said reducing opening hours was aimed at cutting costs.

He added that stations would become less safe and passengers would not be able to access all ticket types at a machine.

TfL cancelled proposals earlier this year to close ticket offices altogether after a campaign by the union.

What do you think? Do you regularly use the ticket offices?
