Today there are so many things people are addicted to whether it be drugs, alcohol, gambling, smoking, sugar, the list goes on.

Last year a friend of mine, Chris Hill, who is an author and addiction expert who I met on social media, launched his very own addiction and mental health shop on the high-street at 91 Station Road, Sidcup DA15 7DN. Chris’s book “Get your life back on the road to freedom from addiction” became a number one bestseller within 24 hours of release.

The purpose of which is to destigmatize addiction and mental health and make it socially acceptable for people to recognize and admit they need help. Chris helps people overcome addictions such as alcohol, nicotine, and recreational drugs, as well as prescription medications, sugar addiction gambling, and overspending. He can also help people with issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, insomnia, phobias, and sugar addiction.

News Shopper:

The program supports people with OCD, past trauma, and helping people beat addiction to sugar addiction by establishing a much healthier relationship with food.

Weekend retreats are offered in Harlow, Essex, as well as the Isle of White and a new 7-day residential rehab program, has just been launched.

Chris is the creator of the beat my addictions recovery program which is recognized by the NHS and is a Lived Experience Practitioner, having escaped over 20 years of addiction himself.

He now teaches the methods that set him free. To find out more about Chris and his work visit: www.beatmyaddictions.com

Chris also launched the charity The Rob Hill foundation dedicated to his twin brother Rob who lost his battle to an accidental drug overdose in 2014. The charity funds free workshops in Sidcup, Kent, The Isle of White and Hastings, but the goal is to branch out across the UK targeting all major cities. Anyone can attend the workshops completely free of charge and thousands have passed through their doors overcoming addictions using this very simple education-based program.

The Rob Hill foundation is one of the only 500 Charites to be selected to participate in the 2020 Virgin London Marathon, in a bid to raise £100,000 in funding to purchase a health bus to outreach for schools, colleges, public spaces and to deliver an onsite education to people who may be homeless and without access to any other support service.

The beat my addictions program is different from everything else out there now, in that it does not rely on the use of willpower, has no religious aspects and works very quickly often within weeks
