Two young men accused of inflicting serious injuries on a man who was dragged from a car and knifed have been released on bail.

The victim, 21, was attacked in Turpington Lane, Bromley Common, on Monday night (September 16) and suffered serious injuries.

He remains in hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Police and paramedics were called to his aid just after 11pm.

Two hours earlier another man, 23, was stabbed in the buttock before police found him at 9.15pm on Isabella Drive in Orpington.

He has since been discharged from hospital.

One teenager, 17, and one man, 23, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent in connection to the victim who was dragged away from a car.

They have been bailed until mid-October.

Police still believe the two stabbings are "potentially linked" and enquiries are ongoing.
