Metropolitan Police's Specialist Crime Command have launched an investigation in the death of a baby who lived in the SE16 area.
The London Ambulance Service and Police were called to a residential address on April 26, where they found the eight-week-old who was unresponsive.
She was pronounced dead in the address at 10:16pm and a post mortem scan of the child showed a significant number of broken bones.
A 24-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman on suspicion of grievous bodily harm on May 3.
An post mortem examination that was carried out on May 10, came back as inconclusive and after further testing - the pair were arrested on suspicion of murder.
They have been released on bail and a trial date is due to occur in October.
