Katie Hopkins has cast her opinion after a man was shot yesterday afternoon in Sydenham.

Officers were called to Sydenham Road on September 8 at around 3.45pm.

A 25-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene and an investigation is currently underway.

Witnesses have said that the man was intending to shoot someone else, however the bullet ricocheted off a car and he killed himself.

Katie Hopkins is an outspoken TV personality, who has been a controversial figure in the media since her time on The Apprentice.

In a Tweet about the Sydenham shooting, Katie said: "Young man shot dead this afternoon in Londonistan. #Sydenham road.

"To the Gun control lobby. We already have a weapons ban. Guns are not the issue. Feral humans are."

Detective Chief Inspector Richard Leonard said: “We are still in the early stages of the investigation and our enquiries into how the man came to be fatally injured continue.

“However, one hypothesis is that the man unintentionally discharged a firearm resulting in his fatal injury.”

One man has been arrested in connection with the investigation and remains in custody at a south London police station.
