The family of a Bromley based DJ who is in an induced coma is raising money to transfer him to the UK after he suffered a nasty fall on holiday.

Paul Cartwright shattered his leg and broke his foot, ribs, pelvis and back after spiralling four storeys from a balcony in Malta.

We understand he was holidaying with his girlfriend when disaster struck.

He remains in an induced coma because of the severity of his injuries. Paul is also being treated for a lung infection.

His family has started a fundraiser to fund the costs of transferring the loved one home.

More than £1,660 has already been raised of the £18,570 target.

A statement on the GoFundMe reads: "His mum, sister and girlfriend have just returned to the UK, therefore Paul is on his own.

"We are trying to fundraise to help with the cost to get him back to the UK. This will entail Medi Air Ambulance with the required medical team.

"We would very much appreciate any help you could give in this fundraising. Paul will also need a lot of care going forward.

"Thank you so much and if you donate in currencies other than Pounds Sterling, there is a link in Google to explain how this can be done."

It is not known how Paul fell from the balcony.

News Shopper hopes to soon bring you an exclusive interview with Paul’s sister.
