Transport for London (TfL) warned motorists to "expect delays" around the O2 Arena in Greenwich ahead of Monday night's Ariana Grande concert.

The pop star is touring the UK this week, playing several shows including tonight's (August 19) at the O2 Arena in Greenwich.

The gigs are Ms Grande's first full performances in the UK since since a terror attack immediately after her performance at the Manchester Arena in 2017 killed 22 people.

She is among the world's most popular pop artists, and reportedly sold out all three shows at the giant O2 arena.

As such, ahead of tonight's concert, TfL warned of delays and disruption on several of the roads surrounding the venue.

Replying to a question on Twitter, a spokesperson for TfL cited what disruption the transport authority expected.

"There is indeed an Ariana Grande concert at the O2 Arena tonight.

"We expect delays on Millennium Way, West Parkside and Edmund Halley Way after the event has finished with delays in the area before and after the concert.

"But there are no road closures are in place," the spokesperson said.
