Water mills, museums, private houses, stately homes, cemeteries, town halls, churches and even a few air raid shelters will be open to the public for one week only.

Dorset Architectural Heritage Week (Heritage Open Days) will be returning once again this September and the 2019 programme is now available.

West Dorset venues taking place include, Bridport Town Hall, Lyme Regis Cemetery Chapel, Lyme Regis Town Mill, Church of Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs, & St Ignatius in Chideock, Beaminster Museum and West Bay Discovery Centre.

More than 6,000 printed copies of the programme are available from local libraries and Tourist Information Centres throughout Dorset, as well as digitally.

With more than 200 events taking place across 64 different venues the 2019 programme of events is a celebration of the finest architectural gems that Dorset has to offer - and every one of them is completely free.

There are a number of new events alongside several returning favourites from previous years.
