A 15-year-old boy is fighting for his life after he was stabbed in broad daylight in New Cross yesterday.
Police say two teenagers were knifed after officers were called to reports of an assault on Woodpecker Road at 5.30pm.
The younger victim, 15, is in a critical condition whereas an 18-year-old boy is stable.
An air ambulance responded to the emergency before the boys were rushed to hospital.
Labour Councillor for Lewisham Central, Joani Reid, described the stabbings as "horrific and senseless" in a tweet.
Yesterday, two boys were stabbed on Woodpecker Rd, New Cross. This is a horrific and sensless crime against two of our young teenagers with their lives ahead of them. Please help the police with their investigation & call 101 CAD 5665/5August if you have any information at all.

"Enquiries into the full circumstances continue," a police spokesman said.
A crime scene remains in place and anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting CAD 5665/5August.
