As such, severe disruption for those who use the service, which typically runs from 6.10am to 8pm, was reported following the suspension.
"Woolwich Ferry - The service is currently suspended due to technical issues with the on-board generators. Please seek alternative routes," a spokesperson for Transport for London (TfL) said Tuesday morning.
The free-to-use boat service typically runs once every 15-20 minutes during the week.
