A kind-hearted eight-year-old will pop the kettle on for a charity close to her heart.

Lily Tancock, from Burton Bradstock, is raising funds for Weldmar.

The charity looked after her grandmother, who passed away four years ago, and Lily wants to help those less fortunate than herself.

Lily is hosting a coffee morning at the village hall this Saturday, where there will be a raffle, jolly jars, a craft stall and name the dolly.

According to her dad Dom, Lily – a carnival attendant at this year’s event - is ‘so warming’ and often makes sure elderly neighbours are well.

Dom said: “Lily loves living in our wonderful village and supporting local events.”

All are welcome to attend the coffee morning on Saturday between 10am and 12pm.
