A fun-filled music festival will take place in a picturesque village this weekend, all in aid of a worthwhile cause.

Bredy Farm is hosting Gimme Shelter this Saturday, when an array of talented musicians will perform throughout the day.

The family and dog-friendly event, on the working farm at Burton Bradstock, aims to raise money and awareness about homelessness in the area, with all proceeds being donated to local homeless charities.

Gimme Shelter's popular live music events have previously been held at Weymouth and all raise money for homelessness in Dorset.

This instalment offers a one-night festival with overnight camping available in the beautiful Bride Valley.

Martin Saint, one of the festival organisers, said: "I am very excited to have the opportunity to take Gimme Shelter to new heights.

"It's the next step in our journey raising money and awareness of the current climate of homelessness in Dorset, and I am incredibly thankful to Charlie and Abi at Bredy Farm for hosting us, as well as everybody else who gives their time, effort and everything else to contribute to something very close to my heart."

Guests can also look forward to a fully-stocked bar and an all day long BBQ available from The Parlour, the farm's Mediterranean-influenced cafe-restaurant.

Music starts at noon and tickets are available from gimmeshelterfestival.bigcartel.com
