A busy Welling road has re-opened after riot police were called to 'hundreds of youths attending a house party.

About an hour ago the police helicopter as well as the riot squad were deployed to deal with a 'hundreds of youths'.

A police spokeswoman said: "Police are in the Welling area, Bexley, following reports of a large gathering inside a property Deepdene Road.
"Officers attended and dispersed crowds, they remain in the area to prevent breach of the peace while attendees make their way home."
A S60 stop and search order has been implemented from 9.30pm this evening until 3.30am tomorrow morning (July 27) for the following wards in #welling & #Bexley. Falconwood and Welling / East Wickham / West Heath / Crook Log. This is in response to youth disorder."
Bus routes 51, 89, 486, B15 and B16 are all diverted.
