Those looking to escape rush-hour traffic after today's horrific heatwave are being met with serious delays on the M25 as drivers continue to bake under 35 degree heat.
A stalled truck near the Darenth Interchange has closed off two lanes of the dual carriageway, adding to further traffic jams near the Crossing.
Traffic is backed up as far back as Junction 3 (Swanley Interchange) with two miles of cars being reported queuing on approach to the QE2 bridge.
Drivers are urged to seek alternative routes if possible.
