Firefighters in Dartford were called to yet another field which caught alight earlier this afternoon.

Crews from Kent Fire and Rescue Service were dispatched to Joyce Green Lane shortly after 2pm following reports of a grass fire.

Four fire engines were sent to the scene and firefighters arrived to find a large amount of shrubland ablaze that had spread to a pile of rubbish.

Crews used a hose reel jet and flexi-packs to battle the blaze, which at its height was around two acres wide.

The cause is not yet known and is currently being investigated.
