Police in Dartford have managed to reunite an owner with a variety of their stolen property after arresting a man on suspicion of burglary.

An outbuilding belonging to a homeowner in Fleet Road is reported to have been targeted between 3am and 3:40am on Sunday, July 21 with a television, an aerial and a variety of art equipment being taken.

However, officers were quick on the case and a unit of the Dartford Community Policing Team managed to track the stolen goods to an address in Kirby Road on the same day.

The victim has confirmed the property belongs to them however the items have currently been seized as evidence.

A 55-year-old man from Dartford has been linked with the case and was also arrested on suspicion of burglary.

He has since been released, pending further enquiries.
