Crews from Kent Fire and Rescue Service's were dispatched to the scene at around 9.30pm after a woman living near Hockenden Lane reported seeing black smoke.

Three fire engines, along with one from London Fire Brigade, a bulk water carrier and around 20 firefighters arrived to find a large quantity of shrubbery and small trees that were alight in a quarry.
