A driver who allegedly reversed over a police officer after a routine vehicle stop in Catford is wanted for questioning.
The white Renault was pulled over in Fordmill Road, Catford, at 4pm yesterday after damage was spotted to the van.
One of the police officers got out to speak to the driver who allegedly "suddenly reversed", knocking down the other officer stood by the unmarked car.
A Met statement added: "The driver continued to reverse his vehicle on top of the officer as he lay on the ground before driving off."
The policeman, who is in his 20s and works for the Violent Crime Taskforce, remains in hospital in a non-life-threatening condition after suffering injuries to his leg and hand.

Nicholas Scantlebury, 35, is the man police want to speak to in connection to the incident.
The other Violent Crime Taskforce officer was not injured.
UPDATE:
Scantlebury has handed himself in and has been arrested on suspicion of GBH.
