Valiant volunteers have raised thousands of pounds to fund vital equipment for a special school in Crayford.

Members of The Friends of Shenstone, a charity group made up of parents and carers who help raise extra funds for Shenstone school, managed to take in more than £2,500 following their successful summer disco, which took place in VCD Athletic's sports hall earlier this month.

The group run events such as these throughout the year in order to pay towards the running of school buses, cover extra activities like animal therapy sessions, and have even supported the recent revamp of the school's specialist playground.
