Big engineering works forced trains on various lines between Lewisham and Charlton to be suspended on Sunday (July 14).

Southeastern Rail said that bus replacement services would replace some of those lines that down due to the engineering works.

In a statement posted to their website, a spokesperson for the company offered further details of the stations and lines affected.

"Engineering work is taking place between Lewisham and Charlton, closing various lines.

"Buses will replace trains between New Cross and Dartford via Bexleyheath.

"The London Cannon Street circular trains will be retimed and will not call at Lewisham," the spokesperson said.

Both Blackheath and Lewisham stations will remain closed throughout Sunday, causing disruption to people travelling to the ONBlackheath festival.

Southeastern offered specific advise to festival goers planning to use those stations to get to the festival site on Blackheath Common.
