Police in Bromley are hunting for a "machete"wielding burglar and his accomplice after they reportedly lifted valuable jewels from a Knockholt home earlier this week.

Kent Police was called shortly before 4pm on Monday, July 8, to a break-in at an address in Washneys Road.

It is reported two men, one of whom was carrying what has been described as a machete, entered the unoccupied home by breaking through a back door before stealing a quantity of jewellery.

Both men were wearing gloves and balaclavas.

One of them is described as being stocky and was wearing a dark tracksuit top, dark tracksuit bottoms with a white stripe down each leg and black trainers.

The second man is described as having a slim build and was wearing a light grey hooded tracksuit top with dark grey stripes on the arms and shoulders, light grey tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.

Investigators have been carrying out a number of enquiries including forensic examination at the scene and reviewing any potential CCTV opportunities in the area.
