A children’s football team say they are "extremely sad" to report that its pavilion was "ransacked" last night.

Orpington FC are based in Goddington Park and the fence was damaged before numerous items including a tractor were snatched.

A club statement read: "Please be on the look out for some of the stolen items, tractor, lawn mower, large orange gazebos and a pa system among many items taken from us.

"We are a community club run by volunteers, you haven’t stolen from some sort of rich business who can easily replace all of this.

"What is it that makes people think this is an acceptable thing to do?"
