A man is in critical condition after falling from a flyover in Thamesmead earlier this morning.
Harrow Manor Way from Eastern Way to Yarnton Way has been shut by police since 2:30am due to the unfortunate incident.
A Met spokesman has said: "Police were called at 2am on Thursday, July 11 to Harrow Manor Way following reports that a man appeared to have fallen from a flyover onto the carriageway.
"Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended.
"The 33-year-old man was taken to a south London hospital where he remains in a critical condition."
"Officers are in the process of tracing his next of kin."
A detour is been in operation since 2:30am with nine bus routes being diverted including the 177, 229, 244, 401, 604, 602, 669, B11 and N.
Detectives are also looking to trace the driver of a silver car that was in the area at the time of the fall.
They would also like to speak with anyone else who may have witnessed the moments leading up to the man falling.
