A masked man who allegedly threatened two people before driving off in their Range Rover remains on the run. 

Police were called to Pickhurst Lane in Hayes at 10.15pm on Monday, July 8, after the reported robbery.

A police spokesman said the victims had parked their car when the stranger approached.

“The man threatened them with a knife, and demanded the keys to the car, a Range Rover Evoke,” the spokesman added.  

He drove away in the car and nobody was injured.

Police are still trying to trace the Range Rover and say enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made.

One resident got in touch after the story was published to say four men, a machete and a getaway car were invovled in the robbery. 

He said: "The attack happened on our driveway by a gang of at least four guys wearing black tracksuits, hoods and snoods.

"One pulled out a two foot long machete. They had a dark blue Golf GTI as the other getaway vehicle."
