Traffic had to be held by officers on approach to the Dartford Crossing last night after concerns were raised for the welfare of a woman spotted standing on the bridge last night.
Traffic was brought to a standstill at the QE2 Bridge due to a "police incident" at around 6pm on Monday, July 8, as cars heading clockwise were stopped on approach to the Crossing.

A spokesman for Essex Police has said: "We were called to concerns for the welfare of a woman on the Dartford Crossing at around 6.05pm on Monday, July 8.
"We attended.
"The woman was brought to safety and left in the care of medical professionals."
