An alleged shoplifter has been arrested following a number of 'meaty thefts' across Greenwich and Bexley.
Three officers from Welling Police were having a well deserved break yesterday at a petrol station at Avery Hill.
While sipping on their hot drinks staff made them aware of a well known shoplifter who had just run out of the store.
PC Robinson decided to swap the flat white for a flat-out foot chase, you could say he made the ground up between him and the suspect in espresso time.
All jokes aside the male who had been allegedly targeting the store since 2017 was arrested and taken to a local custody suite.
Daniel Fitzpatrick of No fixed abode has been charged and remanded to appear at Bromley Magistrates Court at 10am this morning.
The shoplifting charges are as follows:
18/08/2017 - Stole foodstuff to a value of £71.00
