A lack of staff at a freight yard near Charlton station us causing peak hour delays this morning.
On the National Rail website it read that a late running freight train between Blackheath and Charlton is causing disruption to journeys through these stations.
As a result, train services may be delayed or diverted.
"One of the trains waiting to get into the yard is blocking the line used by our trains between Blackheath and Charlton," the National Rail message read.
"London Charing Cross to Dartford via Woolwich trains are being diverted via Bexleyheath or Sidcup. London bound trains are not affected and are running normally.
"You can use the Docklands Light Railway between Lewisham and Greenwich at no extra cost. You can change at Greenwich for services via Woolwich which are not being affected by this problem."
The delays are expected to last until at least 9am.
