Police are hunting for two suspected shoplifters who are alleged to have threatened staff at Swanley's Asda with "dirty needles" this morning.

Kent Police released images of the suspects, who are wanted in connection with the incident at the London Road supermarket branch at 12.10am this morning (June 26).

A Kent Police spokesman said: "Two people are said to have entered the store and selected a number of bottles of alcohol before heading to the exits without paying.

"They are alleged to have made threats to security staff when challenged, before leaving with the stolen items."

Officers are currently linking the incident to a previous reported theft at the store on April 26, when it was reported that bottles of alcohol were again stolen. Similar threats were made that staff would be injured.

In both incidents, no needles were actually seen by staff.
