Four people have been arrested after a boy was shot dead in a Plumstead car park.
Armed officers were called to Hartville Road just before 5pm yesterday (June 14).
Both the London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance attended but the victim, believed to be in his late teens, died at the scene a short time later.
The victim has yet to be formally identified and police were working to notify his next of kin.
Three men and a woman were later arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to separate south London police stations for questioning.
The Homicide and Major Crime Command is leading the investigation in close partnership with police in Greenwich, and the Met said residents can expect an enhanced police presence in the area.
The force said: "A large crime scene remains in place and police are appealing for anyone with information on what happened to call them urgently on 101 quoting CAD reference 6004/14June.
Anyone with information can also call Crimestoppers anonymously via 0800 555 111."
