A Bromley boozer has come under fire over an "offensive" Facebook post promoting an England match which declared “no Germans allowed.”
Greater Than Gatsby on Bromley High Street posted a photo captioned ‘D-Day! Come support our boys! England vs Holland’ on its page.
In the comments section, the bar’s Facebook account added: “Sorry snowflakes. Come on Egland (sic). No Germans allowed.”
Jim Ryan, an England fan from Bromley, told News Shopper the comments were “a poor show.”
He said: “You could say it’s light-hearted but the whole 48 hours has been about commemorating the day in an appropriate way.
“A bar like that should be more responsible on a day like today.”
He added he would not be watching the match in the bar after seeing the Facebook post.
“It’s just disappointing,” he said.
Facebook users have also left comments on the post itself, criticising Greater than Gatsby’s promotion tactics.
One user wrote: “D-Day has and never will have anything to do with football. The association is offensive.”
Another said: “Poor judgment. Poor taste.”
This is not the first time the Bromley bar has caused a stir.

Last year, the bar posted a sign in its window that banned its punters from wearing hoodies.
While some claimed the policy represented "middle class discrimination," others thought the dress code was "sweet."
Greater Than Gatsby declined to comment on the D-Day Facebook post.
