A teenager was hospitalised following a moped crash in Dartford yesterday afternoon.

The injured boy is believed to have been a passenger on the moped before the driver collided with a car in Green Street Green Road.

The driver then reportedly fled the scene before police arrived, leaving the passenger to be attended to by officers.

A spokesman for Kent Police has said:"Officers were called at around 2.35pm on May 21 to reports that a moped had been in collision with a car on Green Street Green Road.

"A teenage boy, riding pillion, suffered a minor injury in the incident. He is being treated at a local hospital.

"The moped rider is reported to have left the scene prior to police arrival, enquiries are ongoing to locate him."
