Police have been granted extra stop and search powers following the stabbing of a 14-year-old boy.
Police were called at around 3.35pm yesterday (May 15) to reports of youths fighting in Croydon Road, near the junction with Weighton Road.
Attending officers found a 14-year-old boy suffering a stab wound to his arm. An ambulance rushed him to hospital, where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening.

Detectives from South Area CID retain an open mind as to any motive, but do not believe the victim was robbed.
As of 2pm today, a Section 60 Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 for the areas in the above map.

A Section 60 allows a police officer to stop and search a person without suspicion.
This Order will be in place until 2am tomorrow (May 17).
