John Bain
A thief who was caught by police on the roof of a building site has avoided jail.
John Bain, 32, from Middle Park Avenue in Eltham, was convicted of theft at Bexley Magistrates Court on May 13.
On April 22. police were called to Alma Road, Sidcup, to reports of two men breaking into a building site.
John Bain was located on a roof at location and arrested. He was charged and remanded in custody until sentencing.
He was sentenced to 16 weeks imprisonment, suspended for 12 months, drug rehabilitation requirement for three months and he must wear an electronic monitor until August 12.
