A busy road in Mottingham will not reopen until tomorrow, Thames Water has confirmed.
Marvels Lane was shut earlier today because of the three inch wide burst water pipe.
A Thames Water spokesman: "We’re working hard to repair a leaking pipe on Marvels Lane, Mottingham, after it was reported to us by a customer. We’ve had to close the road to allow us to complete the work safely, and expect to be finished and have the road reopened by tomorrow.
"This is crucial work to stop our pipes leaking and to protect water supplies, and we’re sorry for any delays this is causing."

One person is being supported with alternative water supplies because of problems caused by the leaking pipe.
Bus routes 124, 126, 273, 284, 624 and N136 are being diverted in both directions.
Thames Water say it fixes 1,500 leaks every week and millions are being invested to make supplies more resilient.
