Detectives investigating a violent robbery in Blackheath where occupants were tied up and threatened with knives and acid have arrested and charged a man.

The man, 29, and from Kent was charged on May 9, with aggravated burglary and production of cannabis.

Police are now appealing for information concerning the other suspects involved who are believed to have links to the Kent area.

At approximately 12.25am on November 27, 2018, officers were called to a violent assault at an address on Invicta Road.

Occupants of the address had been tied up and burgled by five male suspects who forced their way into their premises.

The men had their faces covered with balaclavas and threatened the victims with knives and acid.

One of the victims, a women in her 20s, was stuck a number of times to face.

A number of personal items including jewellery, as well as cash, were stolen from the premises.

Officers attended the scene where the injured victim refused medical help.

Enquiries to trace the outstanding suspects continue apace.
