Commuters in Lewisham are facing more train disruption this evening after a day of cancellations.
Southeastern trains between St Johns and New Cross are not expected to return to a normal service until 7.30pm.
⚠️ UPDATE: The signalling problem has unfortunately occurred again meaning Cannon Street bound services cannot stop at either #StJohns or New Cross. There's information in this thread https://t.co/M5FLy6gvmM about alternative travel arrangements.

A National Rail statement read: "A signalling problem has reoccurred near St Johns, affecting trains towards Cannon Street.
"Response staff from Network Rail are on site to work to resolve the issue. The fault affects the detection system used by signals to confirm the track ahead is clear.
"If you are on a diverted service, please change at London Bridge for a train back to New Cross or St Johns. If you are at St Johns or New Cross, please join a train towards Lewisham and change there for a service back towards London."
We will let you know of any further updates.
